They are popularly known  as ushers and collectors. Their role is to welcome people, especially guests or strangers, at the door, provide them with books and aids, and help them to their place. They also assist members of the assembly who become ill or may need special assistance. Ushers may help with the collection and organizing the offertory procession. This ministry demands a welcoming or pleasing personality, practical sense and presence of mind.
